Words Parents should speak to their Children

I was reading this great article and the writer feels that there are seven phrases or words that Parents must speak to their children to help them be who God wants them to be. They are:

  1. I believe in you
  2. You can count on me
  3. I treasure you
  4. I'm sorry, please forgive me
  5. Because
  6. No
  7. I love you

Sometimes when you are a parent you get caught up in what needs to get done rather than taking the time to focus on one of your greatest responsibilities and mission in life, which is raising your children the way God wants you to. Time goes so fast and your children will be grow before you blink twice. Make sure your children know you and you know them and that they hear those 7 little phrases listed above. Peace and Joy, Miss Kathy

Cleaning Day!!!

ok, so the time has finally come to really get the apartment finally fixed up. After living here over 8 months I guess it is time to take out the boxes from moving....I've been busy......and everything else is a lot more fun and interesting than cleaning house....My boys and their families are coming down for Mothers Day and also to celebrate my favorite son-in-laws graduation from Harding with his MBA...way to go Josh. Since they are coming they are going to need a place to sleep so there in lies the main reason for cleaning up....I have been very busy this week getting everything ready for the new rotation study in PLUGG. We have added 2 new groups, a light purple and a retro black and white group. That makes 10 groups of kids going to the workshops now. Hopefully since we added 2 more groups the numbers in each group will be more manageable. But since we have new groups all the groups had to be re-grouped and new name tags made etc. so I am about cross-eyed from working on the computer all day and half the night. But it is done and everything is ready for Sunday. I love having the problem of having to make more groups because of more children coming...those kind of problems are blessings. yeah kids and yeah parents for bringing your kids to PLUGG. I am going to take pictures Sunday during PLUGG and post on PV's website. just click on children's ministry and it will take you to the kids site. Blessings
